A new anonymous bioinfomatics resource FTP was set up  

We have set up a new anonymous FTP server to provide bioinformatics resources, which still uses the domain name ftp://ftp.cbi.pku.edu.cn. The new FTP server has much more storage capacity and can support more users at the same time. All data will be updated synchronizedly. And the new FTP server supports RSYNC protocal as well, the address is rsync://rsync.cbi.pku.edu.cn

 

The structure of the FTP server:
/pub	<-- Start here

+-/pub/software	<-- Biology software
+-/pub/biomirror	<-- Local mirror of bio-mirror (http://www.bio-mirror.net)
+-/pub/old	<-- Old things from our old FTP server

Notice:
* "-R" (recursive) option is not allowed on this FTP server, please use the "ls-lR" file.
* Every IP allows two connections, and max connection number is 400.
* Speed limit of every connection: 1M/sec.
